Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Job Description
We are looking for Extruder Operators to work in the Hanover Industrial Park.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Reads job specs and procures all applicable tooling
· Sets up machine to accommodate for job orders and specs in the production run
· Conducts ongoing visual inspection of machine for leaks, loose belts, etc., according to checklist
· Performs clearance procedure for shift change over
· Conducts machine adjustments as needed to meet customer specifications
· Completes set up profile sheets for new jobs
· Performs checks for compliance to customer specifications and quality standards
· Identifies and promptly reports to supervisors equipment malfunction, material, safety, and/or quality issues
· Completes forms, documents, and quality measurements per production run
· Performs line clearance procedures in the event of a product change
· Complies with company personnel and safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices
· Performs special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel
· Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work-piece to specifications
· Diagnosis and repair of minor mechanical failures
· Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ideal candidate will have one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Must have strong analytic, mathematical, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
· Must be practical, with good decision making skills
· Must be detail-oriented
· Must be able to work independently and set priorities to meet firm reporting deadlines
Positive Attributes
· Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing Environment
· Previous Tube Manufacturing experience
Language Skills
· Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
· Write simple correspondence
· Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Mathematical Skills
· Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
· Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Analytical Skills
· Problem solving, individual and group facilitation
Reasoning Ability
· Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
· Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
